Teenagers, Embrace the Holy Spirit

Dear Teenager, the best way to relate with the Holy Spirit isn’t complicated—it begins with your Bible. The Holy Spirit is not just for adults or preachers; He longs to be your Friend, Counselor, and Helper even as a young person. When you study the Scriptures, you give the Holy Spirit something to work with in your heart. Jesus said, “But the Helper, the Holy Spirit… will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you” (John 14:26 ESV). If you don’t read what He has said, how will He remind you?

Imagine trying to have a relationship with someone you never listen to. That’s how many teens treat the Holy Spirit. They want Him to speak, but they haven’t taken time to know His language—the Word of God. The Holy Spirit speaks most clearly through Scripture. When you read your Bible with an open heart, He begins to guide your thoughts, correct your actions, and comfort your fears. “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path” (Psalm 119:105). That means the more you know the Word, the more direction you’ll receive for your life.

But here’s the secret: it’s not just about reading the Bible—it’s about living it. When you begin to practice what you read, the Holy Spirit gets excited! He strengthens you, helps you grow, and makes you bold. “Don’t just listen to God’s word. You must do what it says…” (James 1:22 NLT). Whether it’s choosing not to lie, forgiving someone, or standing up for what’s right—you’re building a real friendship with the Spirit each time you obey.

So, dear teen, don’t wait till you’re older to walk with the Holy Spirit. Start now. Talk to Him. Read the Bible with expectation. Obey what you learn, even in small things. That’s how your relationship with Him becomes strong, deep, and unshakable. You’re not too young to hear God’s voice—you’re just the right age to start!

Sex and Lust

*Sex & LUST* I need you to understand that LUST is different from SEX. Lust is a desire in the heart to gain a sexual experience with some one. Sex is a decision and action. Your problem is not sex but LUST. Lust is the major challenge of teenagers. If there is no LUST at work, sex won't step in. Lust always shows up in your mind or head as a suggestion. The moment you give it attention, it settles and becomes your master. There is nothing like unplanned sex...or temptation that showed up accidentally. Temptation or rape is an opportunity that met a prepared mind trained or nurtured by LUST. Guard your heart against LUST via Gods Word and it will become easy to deal with the issue of sex. Sex is a choice, a decision and an option or suggestion. It is not a helpless feeling. It's deliberate in nature consciously or unconsciously. The Holy Spirit is aware of your struggle. Come to him un-ashamed. HOPE EXPRESSION celebrates you. # PrinceVictorMatthew

Teenager, Who Are You Really?

Have you ever felt like you’re trying to be someone you’re not? Maybe you feel pressured to fit in, to look a certain way, or to meet expectations that don’t align with who you truly are. The world is loud, constantly telling you who you should be, how you should act, and what you should believe. But have you ever stopped to ask, Who does God say I am? 2 Corinthians 5:17 says, “If anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!” You are not defined by your past mistakes, your insecurities, or the labels people place on you. In Christ, you are made new. Your worth isn’t found in popularity, achievements, or how many people approve of you. Your worth is found in the One who created you. Psalm 139:14 reminds you, “I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made.” Think about that for a moment. You are not an accident. You are not a mistake. Every part of you—your personality, your gifts, your dreams—was intentionally designed by God....

How to Use Your Days, Skills, and Even Small Resources Well As a Teenager

As a teenager, God has already placed something special in your hands—your time, your talents, and your treasures. These are not small things. They are the building blocks of your future and the seeds of your purpose. The way you use them today will shape who you become tomorrow. Ephesians 5:16 says, “Make the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil.” Your time is a gift from God. Every hour you spend learning, praying, helping others, or growing in your walk with God is an investment into your destiny. Don’t waste your days comparing yourself to others or chasing things that don’t last. Instead, choose to use your time to build character, grow spiritually, and prepare for what God has planned for you. Your talents are the unique skills and abilities that make you different. Romans 12:6 reminds us, “We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us.” Whether you’re good at singing, writing, drawing, leading, or encouraging people, your talents are not acc...
