Recognizing God's Voice and Guidance: A Journey Towards Understanding Your Purpose

As a teenager navigating through life, it can sometimes feel overwhelming to make decisions or know which path to take. In those moments, the most important thing you can do is seek guidance from God. But how do you recognize God's voice? How do you discern His guidance in your daily life? Understanding how to hear from God is crucial to growing in your relationship with Him and discovering your purpose.

The first step in recognizing God's voice is understanding that He desires to speak to you. In John 10:27, Jesus says, "My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me." As one of His sheep, you are meant to hear and follow His voice. God’s guidance is not reserved for a select few; it is available to everyone who seeks Him.

One of the primary ways God speaks to us is through prayer. Prayer is not just about talking to God; it’s also about listening. When you pray, take time to be still and open your heart to what God may be saying. In Jeremiah 33:3, God promises, "Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know." This means that when you pray, you can trust that God is ready to answer and guide you, often in ways that may surprise you.

Another way to discern God's voice is by reading the Bible. The Bible is God’s written word, and it’s full of wisdom and guidance for every aspect of your life. Psalm 119:105 says, "Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path." When you spend time reading the Bible, you are allowing God to speak directly to you. As you read, ask the Holy Spirit to help you understand and apply what you are learning. The more familiar you become with God’s Word, the easier it will be to recognize His voice when He speaks to you in other ways.

Seeking godly counsel is another practical way to hear from God. Proverbs 11:14 tells us, "For lack of guidance a nation falls, but victory is won through many advisers." Surround yourself with people who are grounded in their faith and who can offer wise, biblical advice. This could be a pastor, a youth leader, or a mature Christian friend. Sometimes, God uses others to confirm what He’s already been speaking to your heart or to give you the clarity you need to move forward.

As you learn to recognize God’s voice, it’s important to remember that His guidance will always align with His character and His Word. God will never lead you to do something that contradicts what the Bible teaches or goes against His nature of love, truth, and holiness. If you ever feel uncertain about what you’re hearing, take it back to God in prayer and measure it against Scripture.

Recognizing God’s voice and following His guidance is not just about making the right choices; it’s about drawing closer to Him. The more time you spend in prayer, reading the Bible, and seeking godly counsel, the more attuned you become to His voice. And as you grow in your ability to hear from God, you will find that your life begins to take on new direction and purpose.

Proverbs 3:5-6 encourages us, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight." When you rely on God’s guidance, you don’t have to figure everything out on your own. He will lead you, step by step, into the plans He has for you—plans that are good and full of hope.

So, as you go through your daily life, make it a habit to seek God’s voice. Be intentional about spending time in prayer, diving into the Bible, and surrounding yourself with godly influences. The more you do, the more you will recognize His voice and experience the peace and confidence that comes from knowing you are walking in His will. In doing so, you will not only grow closer to God but also gain a clearer understanding of the unique purpose He has for your life.

Sex and Lust

*Sex & LUST* I need you to understand that LUST is different from SEX. Lust is a desire in the heart to gain a sexual experience with some one. Sex is a decision and action. Your problem is not sex but LUST. Lust is the major challenge of teenagers. If there is no LUST at work, sex won't step in. Lust always shows up in your mind or head as a suggestion. The moment you give it attention, it settles and becomes your master. There is nothing like unplanned sex...or temptation that showed up accidentally. Temptation or rape is an opportunity that met a prepared mind trained or nurtured by LUST. Guard your heart against LUST via Gods Word and it will become easy to deal with the issue of sex. Sex is a choice, a decision and an option or suggestion. It is not a helpless feeling. It's deliberate in nature consciously or unconsciously. The Holy Spirit is aware of your struggle. Come to him un-ashamed. HOPE EXPRESSION celebrates you. # PrinceVictorMatthew

Jesus is the Truth - Part 1

You are welcome to this Revelation.  “I AM THE TRUTH” is the very statement of Jesus Christ about himself. There is a wrong concept about Jesus; Jesus is not here to show you the truth – HE IS THE TRUTH. Jesus is not here to point you to any one – he is here to point you to Himself. In the Gospel of Jesus, don’t try to separate the truth from Jesus. There is no truth without Jesus. Any truth without Jesus is not the truth. You need to understand that we are living with the two concepts. There are two types of truth. We have “truth” - this truth is all about things that please the five senses but disagree with God. The “TRUTH” is divine in nature. Truth is natural in natural. Truth is generally accepted but the truth is accepted through the help of the Holy Spirit. The truth is all about the Father but the truth is all about self desire. The truth produces humility but truth brings pride. Every thing you can see and touch has two version “truth” and “the truth”. ...

Teenager, Who Are You Really?

Have you ever felt like you’re trying to be someone you’re not? Maybe you feel pressured to fit in, to look a certain way, or to meet expectations that don’t align with who you truly are. The world is loud, constantly telling you who you should be, how you should act, and what you should believe. But have you ever stopped to ask, Who does God say I am? 2 Corinthians 5:17 says, “If anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!” You are not defined by your past mistakes, your insecurities, or the labels people place on you. In Christ, you are made new. Your worth isn’t found in popularity, achievements, or how many people approve of you. Your worth is found in the One who created you. Psalm 139:14 reminds you, “I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made.” Think about that for a moment. You are not an accident. You are not a mistake. Every part of you—your personality, your gifts, your dreams—was intentionally designed by God....
