BIBLE STUDY

Joshua 1:8
This book of the law shall not depart out of your mouth, but you shall meditate thereon day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then you shall make your way prosperous, and then you shall have good success.

There are three things I want to notice in this bible passage.

This book of the law shall not depart out of your mouth: - This is the reality of you studying the word of God day in and day out in order for you, to understand his will for your life. Why must you study your bible? The Bible is the total hidden truth about your identity in God, your purpose for existence and your right in life. You are asked to study the word for protection or for you to use it (Book of Psalms) to fight your enemy. No! The bible is given to you to search, ask and seek for your purpose for living and it is in the truth lies the reason why Jesus died and the reason why God loves, provide and protect you. You are created to fulfil a plan and you are saved for a plan. Note this; studying your bible will only give the knowledge of Gods plan and not the understanding of it.

But you shall meditate thereon day and night: - Here is the place where the plan of God for your life of which you have discovered must be set into thoughts. The reason why you have to think on it is because Gods word to you is spirit and life and it is only through your thoughts that you will be permitted to understand it in the physical way. So meditate is the only funnel that makes the spiritual matter physical in your mind – set. Note this; In the place of meditation lies the understanding of God’s plan for your life.

Observe to do according to all that is written therein: - Its one thing for you to know and understand God’s plan for your life but it is a different thing for you to know how to bring his word into reality. God’s plan for your life has principles that must be followed and these principles can only be gotten through the life style of observation. God has set every thing around you to speak to you. The creatures, the seasons, your pastor, the system of life and your day to day activates. This act of observation is the ability of you allowing the holy to direct the way you listen to things, the way you see things and the way you reason in order for you to be able to get the physical clear picture of what God wants you to do. This was the major reason why Jesus used parables to speak in his time but in our days God is using every means to paint out His plan for us to see. Note this, nothing just happens, for every thing that happens to use, make it a duty to call the attention of the holy spirit to explain why such thing happened and make sure to question the holy spirit over any statement some made or your pastor made that is given you much concern of which you lack the full understanding.

The key question when you study your bible are what, why, how, where, when, and who?

Make sure you write down your personal understanding about any passage, so that you will have the room to refresh your mind again and again.

Thanks for reading.

I love you so much.

Remember, the best still lies in you.

Teenagers, Prayer Is A Lifestyle

Prayer is not just a religious routine—it’s a personal conversation with God, your Father, who cares deeply about every detail of your life. For teenagers navigating school, friendships, emotions, and choices, daily prayer can become a safe place to process it all. It’s more than asking God for things; it’s about sharing your thoughts, listening for His guidance, and allowing His peace to fill your heart. Think of it like talking to your best friend—honest, real, and consistent. Even five to ten minutes each morning can reset your mood, shift your focus, and help you start your day with a clear mind and a peaceful heart. You don’t need fancy words. Just be real. Whether you're praying silently, whispering, or writing your thoughts in a journal like a letter to God, what matters is your heart. Over time, prayer becomes a habit that helps you stay calm in pressure, kind when it's hard, and strong when you're tempted to quit. If you're wondering how to grow in this, start ...

10 Assessment for Discovering Your God-Given Talents and Passions as Teenagers

1. Reflect on the activities that make you lose track of time because you enjoy them so much. How do these activities align with what you believe God has placed in your heart? Consider Ecclesiastes 3:11, which says, “He has made everything beautiful in its time.” How can you use these passions to serve others? 2. Identify a talent or skill you have that others often compliment or seek your help with. How does this talent reflect God’s purpose for your life? In 1 Peter 4:10, we are reminded to use our gifts to serve others. How can you use this talent to make a positive impact? 3. Think about a time when you felt particularly fulfilled or proud of an accomplishment. What strengths or skills did you use in that moment? Reflect on how these might be part of God’s plan for you, as stated in Philippians 2:13, “For it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose.” 4. Consider your dreams and aspirations. What do you dream of achieving, and how m...
