Teenagers and Purpose

Purpose is the original intention of a creator for creating a thing or a living being. When we think about this in the context of our lives as Christians, it means understanding that God, our Creator, has a specific plan and reason for our existence. This understanding is not just for the future but is meant to guide every decision we make, even as teenagers. In Jeremiah 29:11, God says, "For I know the plans I have for you, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." This verse is a powerful reminder that God has a purpose for each of us, and His plans are filled with hope and promise. It’s easy to get caught up in what the world says about success and happiness, but God’s purpose for you is much deeper and more meaningful than what the world can offer. Think about a watch. Its purpose is to tell time. If you tried to use a watch as a hammer, it wouldn’t work very well, and it would likely get damaged in the process. The same goes for us.
